Q: Who do I contact if I need help?

If you have general questions about the app please first view our parent app video tutorial . For technical app support or login issues email: scho olsupport@mycabinet.com For questions about your child’s health , clinic visits, or medications: Contact your school’s clinic directly.

Q: What are medication expiration alerts?

If your child has medication stored at school, the app will notify you when it’s close to expiring as well as the approximate day of expiration so you can replace it on time.

Q: I’m not receiving notifications. How do I fix that?

First, make sure you are signed into your account and that your children appear in the ‘Students’ tab. If so, then make sure your notifications are enabled for the MyCabinet app in your phone’s settings. Go into your app and click ‘Settings’. Then toggle on notifications. We recommend toggling on all notifications, especially push notifications that come directly to your mobile phone, and email notifications.

Q: Can I message the school clinic / nurse through the app?

Not at this time. The app is one-way only — it shows clinic visits and medication alerts. If you need to contact the nurse, please contact your child’s school clinic directly.

Q: Why Don’t I See My Child listed under the ‘Students’ section?

If your child isn’t appearing in the app, it may be due to one of the reasons: 1. Your child’s school is not yet part of the MyCabinet rollout. This would occur if you logged in from one school’s request but another child’s school is not yet participating. 2. The app is connected only to the “enrolling parent’s” email address. MyCabinet matches students to the enrolling parent on file with the school. If the enrolling parent changed for one or more of your children, you may no longer see that student in your app. Please reach out to your school to confirm which parent is listed as the ‘enrolling parent’ and that the email address is the same. 3. Your child has turned 18, which changes FERPA privacy rights. Under FERPA, when a student turns 18, their educational and health privacy rights transfer from the parent to the student. Because of this, the school nurse can only share health information with a parent if: the student provides written consent , or disclosure is allowed under a specific FERPA exception. For questions or to update permissions, please contact your child’s school directly.

Q: Can I change my password?

Yes. Inside the app, go to Settings → Change Password .

Q: Can I add or manage my child’s medications through the app?

You can view active medications kept at school, but you cannot add or update school medications inside the app. Medication updates must be handled directly with your school clinic based on your district’s policies.
